About Me

Hi, I'm Sharon. Making jewelry for women who like to shine, both inside and out, is my happy place. The process of sawing a smooth piece of silver is a Zen experience in and of itself. Using fire to melt silver from a solid to a liquid feels powerful – much like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Certainly a triumph of mind over matter. And hammering metal… well, need we say more?

In the 1950s, women used to buy a tube of bright red lipstick to cheer themselves up. By the end of the century, it was silver earrings. Lots and lots of shiny silver earrings. And then one day, finally, we realized that we like to shine on the inside at least as much as we do on the outside.

For many of us, that was a ridiculously long-fought battle. And while it is true that we don’t really experience light without dark, the dark sucks! You know you’ve risen above the fray when we understand that really, it is just as easy to shine. Life feels much better when we shine. And we get to choose when, where and why we shine.

So, have you arrived at that point in life where you realize you can shine, both inside and out? Whenever you please. Just because you want to. Simply because you can. And most importantly, because you are the boss of you! Some days, your shine might be just the tiniest hint of a smile. Some days you might glow like an incandescent sun.

As a recovering perfectionist, a great deal of thought and care is put into Silver Echoes designs. High-quality materials are used during every step of the process. Needless to say, every detail is checked, double-checked, and then checked once again. Just for good measure. Recovering… not recovered.

I am so very grateful for my creativity and the wonderful gemstones and metals that fill my workspace. Each piece of jewelry is infused with love and light before it is packaged up and sent off to its new home. Each piece is offered to all who aspire to shine, as a beacon of light.

“We all shine on… like the moon and the stars and the sun.”
