Dimples ~ Quick and Easy
The dimples on these earrings are shown as a testament to staying power. These brass earrings started out as an experiment that went horribly, horribly wrong. Even my husband shook his head sadly and thought they would be consigned to the recycling dish. Thinking they were all but lost, I continued to experiment and ended up being pretty excited with the results. The trick, now, will be to replicate them so that I can have my own pair! Oxidized dimples, come to find out, are both cute and comfy.
I cut, filed, drilled, dimpled and hammered sheet brass to make these delicious little earrings. They hang from studio made argentium silver ear wires. After being oxidized they were tumbled for a couple of hours to harden the metal and brighten their finish.
